We want our preteens and teens to understand that there are hardships in life. We can teach them in the safe, controlled environment of literature! Let’s teach middle school aged kids to recognize the needs of others and empower them to create philanthropic ways to help.
As a member if the Philanthropic Society for Girls and Boys I will find a passion for purposeful philanthropy. I will recognize the needs of others and acknowledge that I can be of service. I will enrich my mind through academic training and uplifting literature, engage in the cause of helping others, and I will be empowered to make positive changes in my life and in the lives of those I help.
Each PSG/PSB booklet contains everything an individual student needs to pursue a classic work of literature, write in ways that connect her/him life to the book, recognize the needs of the characters from the book, and find relatable ways to help real people.

Each booklet is designed around reading the designated classic book, writing about it, then serving real people in helpful ways. There are nine books for girls and nine books for boys (each set may be read by anyone, of course!)
Each 15-20 page, 8.5×11″ booklet contains:
The booklets can be done individually, as a family, or start a Philanthropic Society in your area!
